Our Youth Ministry

University Chapel's Youth Program encompasses students in grades 5-12 (ages 11 to 18). We meet on Fridays and Sundays for socializing and spiritual growth. The majority of our youth programs take place in The Scriptorium, located in the basement of University Chapel.

Friday Night 5:00-6:45pm (grades 6-12)

Every Friday evening during the academic year we have a youth gathering at University Chapel. The meeting always includes a dinner and either a discussion/study or casual game of movie night. For fall 2021 we are discussing the video series: "For the Life of the World: Letters to the Exiles."

On Sundays, youth of all ages begin by join the 10am English service in the sanctuary. Following a few opening songs, the offering, and a short prayer those going to youth and Sunday School classes are dismissed.

Classes are offered for Junior Youth (Grades 5-7) on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month. The goal of our Junior Youth classes is that over the course of three years students will have been catechised (instructed) in the fundamentals of Christian faith at an age-appropriate level. At this point, students may wish to make a public profession of faith, by being either Baptised or Confirmed.

Senior Youth (grades 8-12) are strongly encouraged to participate fully in our worship service. However, some may wish to attend the Junior Youth Sunday School class, particularly if they have not yet been either Baptized or Confirmed as a Christian believer.
