Saint Thomas Mission is our community of hospitality and study at the University of British Columbia. Students meet for dinner, discussion, and prayer every Wednesday at 6:00pm at the Saint Thomas Mission House (affectionately known as 'The Burrow' - 1650 Western Parkway). We regularly host social events, from games nights to dinner parties, as well as book clubs, study groups and evenings dedicated to thoughtful engagement with the arts.
A partnership between Sojourn Church and University Chapel, Saint Thomas Mission is committed wholeheartedly to the flourishing of the university and of the Church. The proper pursuits of the university are complimentary to the Christian life, Saint Thomas Mission seeks to model that integrity.
We are also committed to be a community of radical hospitality, drawing near to Christ as we draw near to one another.
Finally, we talk about ‘The Four Loves’ of Saint Thomas Mission:
- Loving God
- Loving our university
- Loving each other
- Loving the Church
Here, at UBC, we are pursuing the life of God to the full, together.
