University Community Children's Choir
The UCCC is on sabbatical for the 2011-2012 Season.
The University Community Children’s Choir is a 60-voice ensemble for children ages 7 to 15 in the Westside and University areas. We welcome students from all backgrounds and musical experiences.
Throughout the school year choristers study and perform exciting, varied repertoire. Each season the choir performs two full-length concerts as well as in occasional church services, festivals, competitions, and collaborative performances with other ensembles, including the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Vancouver Chamber Choir. The UCCC also performs at community events such as the Point Grey Fiesta
In its first year, the choir was recommended to compete at the provincial level after winning first in their class at the Kiwanis Music Festival.
As a community ministry of University Chapel, our goal is to foster a
caring community for the child participants and their parents while
pursuing with dedication the choir’s musical potential.
