Dear Family

Carl saw the corneal specialist who, three weeks ago, re-did the corneal operation and he has pronounced that this transplant is a success. There is a complication, however, probably connected to the retina, which prevents the return of satisfactory vision. So, as of next week, Carl will begin consultations with a retina specialist, who will attempt to figure out why he still can’t see as he should.

Thanks for your continued prayers in what has been a longer than expected saga. God is good, and we have confidence that the doctors will get it figured out. Meanwhile, we are very conscious of the one who is the Great Physician, on whose mercies we are all cast.
