Dear UC Family,

We are excited to inform you that, so far, almost 70 kids have signed up to attend Powerlab Vacation Bible School that will run from August 11-15th! The leaders and helpers are all getting ready for the big week! Thank you to all those who’ve stepped out and volunteered to help.

It is a fact that bigger number of kids means bigger number of volunteers needed. At this point, we are still looking for people who can come even just for 1-2 hours of some of the days to help with minor tasks that are important just the same. We pray that God provides us with a few more people to help with:
• Preschool games and crafts ® 9:45-11am
• Handling technical tasks in the sanctuary during the opening session ® 9-10am
• Guiding preschoolers ® 9am-12pm
• Preparing Snacks ® 10-11am
• Taking care of the babies while Moms are leading VBS stations ® 9am-12pm
• Leading discussion groups of 10 kids & simply listening to them ® 9:45-11am


Knowing how busy we all are during the week, we pray that a few of you will feel called to come and help during these few hours. More people who can come, the easier the work becomes for every volunteer. For those of you who will be on campus, we encourage you to come by sometime between 9am-12noon, observe, help and even pray while the kids are going through the VBS Stations.

Attached to this email is the complete and detailed overview of the entire Powerlab VBS. As the actual VBS week goes by, let us keep the kids’ daily schedule in our hearts and pray that their little hearts will genuinely get to know and love Jesus through the stories, songs, games, snacks and crafts that the volunteers will guide them through.
