The University Chapel staff are dedicated to serving the body in ministry leadership roles. As servants their primary responsibilities involve keeping track of the pulse of ministry, and raising up, training and supporting leaders to fill ministry opportunities God creates.
Geoff Chapman - Pastor
Geoff came to Vancouver from a business career in South Africa to study for an M.Div degree at Regent College. He started working at University Chapel while still a student and now serves as our pastor. He preaches most weeks, is always happy to tell you new and exciting things about many different topics, and dons appropriate nicknames on fellow staff members. He is married to Sharon, and they have their hands full with two little girls named Emma and Paula.
Christina Lui - Associate Pastor
Christina is the Interim Associate Pastor at University Chapel (while Heather is on parental leave). Christina left her fabulous hometown of Toronto to study at Regent College (MCS). After graduating she worked in a variety of jobs before, more recently, spending four months serving with long-time UC missionaries in Nepal. Christina enjoys reading books and magazines, visiting galleries and foreign lands, getting to know people and places, and anything else interesting (whatever that means!)
Amy Hicks - Youth Pastor
Amy looks after the youth here at University Chapel, a daunting task to be sure. She hails from the motherland - England - and worked with Pais Canada, a youth and schools ministry, for the last 3 years. Amy loves it the most when she is doing something musical, reading something good, travelling, or getting grubby with paint...
Kelly-Ann Smiley - Church Administrator
Without Kelly, University Chapel would quickly self-destruct. She keeps track of all things administrative and coordinates the activities of all our ministry volunteers. She'll answer the phone if you call, and try her best to answer any question you may have.
Abigail Pelayo - Children's Ministry Coordinator
Abbey loves and cares for the children in and around UC with excitment and passion. Abbey is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Psychology and French at UBC. When she's not studying or working at the church, she's usually out in a field playing soccer or at the beach reflecting on how great life really is.
