The University Chapel staff are dedicated to serving the body in ministry leadership roles. As servants their primary responsibilities involve keeping track of the pulse of ministry, and raising up, training and supporting leaders to fill ministry opportunities God creates.

Geoff Chapman - Senior Pastor
Geoff came to Vancouver from a business career in South Africa to study for an M.Div degree at Regent College. He started working at University Chapel while still a student and now serves as our pastor. He preaches most weeks, is always happy to tell you new and exciting things about many different topics, and dons appropriate nicknames on fellow staff members. He is married to Sharon, and they have their hands full with two young girls named Emma and Paula.
Christina Lui - Associate Pastor
Christina left her fabulous hometown of Toronto to study at Regent College (MCS). After graduating she worked in a variety of jobs before, more recently, spending four months serving with long-time UC missionaries in Nepal. Christina enjoys reading books and magazines, visiting galleries and foreign lands, getting to know new people and new places. Christina also serves as a UBC Chaplain and is excited about connecting with students.
Amy Verkerk - Youth Pastor
Amy looks after the Senior and Junior Youth here at University Chapel, a daunting task to be sure. She hails from the motherland - England - and worked with Pais Canada, a youth and schools ministry, for three years prior to her appointment at UC. Amy and her Dutch husband Bas recently tied the knot in his homeland of Holland. Amy loves it most when she is cooking with Bas, playing squash, being with her fantastic youth group teens or watching Star Trek.
Kelly-Ann Smiley - Administrator
Without Kelly, University Chapel would quickly self-destruct. She keeps track of all things administrative and coordinates the activities of all our ministry volunteers. She'll answer the phone if you call, and try her best to answer any question you may have.
Tabea Dauth - Children's Ministry Coordinator
Tabea, originally from Germany, and her Austrian husband Alex joined University Chapel and instantly became involved. Alex is currently undertaking a PhD at UBC while Tabea takes the Children's Ministry by storm! Alex and Tabea have two beautiful girls (who love to invite their friends to Church) and a handsome son who bring sparkles of joy and laughter to all of us.
